Watch – Change Strap

2 years ago, I was looking for a cheap mechanical watch because I really like watching the second hand tick. This Seiko watch fits perfectly, and I got it off a dodgy looking watch shop in Chinatown. Since then, I have been wearing this trusty seiko watch almost every day and the strap is getting worn out. Moreover, I did not like the feel of the nylon strap and grim just sticks inside the weaves.

So I bought a new strap from Taobao. It is really simple, just measure the width of the strap right at the watch face. It is known as lug width. As a bonus, the strap comes with some tools to change the strap and also a few spare links.

It even includes an instruction booklet, which turns out to be very useful because I have no idea how to remove the old strap.

Brand new strap. It is a bit too thick for the watch, so it is tight at the link. But no big deal, I’m not a watch snob.

That’s all~
