I thought it would be fun to write a review for the new bag that I have gotten, the Crumpler Brace Brace Brace messenger bag. I decided to get this bag because my work bag starting to show signs of wear and tear, and the Crumpler brand was popular during my teenager years. It was a delight to see that the brand is still alive and how the bag still looks the same but not tired.

The build of the bag is solid. It’s made from fabric, which is a big plus for me—my old Timbuk2 bags, made from tarp material, ended up breaking down over time. This bag, on the other hand, feels durable and well-constructed. Plus, the multiple pockets make it super easy to keep everything organized.

One thing to note is that the Brace Brace Brace bag only comes in a medium size. I’m not entirely sure how it compares to the large version, but the medium fits a 15” laptop nicely although it is a bit shallow. My Nalgene bottle barely fits, and as a messenger bag with a single strap, it can get a bit uncomfortable if loaded too heavily or worn for too long.

Here my daily bringalongs fit just nice. A 15″ laptop (similar to Macbook 16″), Nalgene bottle (fits only in the middle because of the width), umbrella, a small bag of coffee (to simulate how a small pouch would fit). Good nudge for me to stay minimalist.

Overall, I find it to be a pretty good messenger bag for everyday use—perfect for my needs. The bag not only meets my practical requirements but also brings back nostalgic vibes from my younger days.
